5 Wireless Systems: GSM architecture & protocols, IS-95 CDMA air interface, GPRS setup. 10 Hrs
6 Recent Trends: Wi-Fi, WiMAX, ZigBee, Software Defined Radio (SDR), Wireless security. 9 Hrs

  • GSM/CDMA Kits: GMSK modulation, BER measurement, GSM AT Commands, RAKE receiver performance.
  • Design Projects: Modulation scheme design (QAM, 8PSK), Discrete Multi-tone modem, local GSM broadcast reception.
